Time for You

Oxford House Community Care provides high quality Personal Care, Support and Companionship to people in their own homes.  We have Carers available to provide the sometimes much needed social interaction and emotional support individuals might have seen a decline in, due to mobility or health issues. These services can help reduce feelings of loneliness and isolation. One of the services we offer is a ‘Time for You’ visit. This service helps individuals maintain their independence and enables them to join in activities which form part of their daily or weekly routine. Our Carers will support and encourage people to perform the tasks/activities of their choice. It could be a trip to the library, making a cake, going out for coffee or a fish and chip lunch! Our Carer’s can provide transport and will be on hand throughout the visit to assist where ever needed to make sure the activity/outing is enjoyable and stress-free. Our home care services in Berkshire and South Bucks provides people with safe, secure and reliable care that provides an opportunity to enrich their lives and gives them the help they need to continue doing the things they love.

An example of our Time for You service

We have recently helped a client with his memoirs and family history. Our Carer, Trudie has developed a wonderful rapport with him and takes B out to different settings each week for coffee, lunch and sociable activities. Recently, B’s friend has been finding out about his family tree and Trudie was really interested in hearing about this when she visited. B loved talking about it and telling his Carer all about his family past. They would go into town on his ‘time for you’ calls and visit the printers with his pictures and writing. At first they printed out everything, then they went to check it was set up how B wanted it and after 3 or 4 visits, they provided a proof and B was so happy with it. B has had copies made for his family and friends. His Carer, Trudie tells us “B has a very fascinating family past and it was a privilege to see it made into a book”.

If you are looking for a personalised home care service, our experienced care team would be happy to arrange a free of charge consultation to discuss your requirements.
