Denise Neighbour is Celebrating 25 years long-service
At Oxford House in Slough, a caring culture is at the heart of everything we do. Our principles are founded on promoting: Choice; Dignity; Quality & Respect, with these principles embedded in all that we do.
Oxford House Community Care are very proud to have such a wonderful care team. After all, it is the carers who deliver the care day in, day out. They represent our company to the highest standards and we know we can always rely on them to provide high quality care to those they look after.
We believe staff retention sets us apart as we have many long-standing staff, including our Senior Carer for Windsor, Denise Neighbour. Denise has worked for Oxford House for 25 years – an amazing achievement and this shows her dedication not only to our company but to all the people she looks after in her community.
Denise has helped many Service Users over the years to remain comfortable and safe at home. Denise goes above and beyond for her Service Users, making sure they have everything they need, arranging extra help and support when needed by liaising with health professionals and family members and generally making their life easier and happier.
Here are a few words from Denise…
“Working for Oxford House has been such a rewarding career. I started in 1997 and I’ve been supported throughout by a great Management team who listen, encourage, and support my concerns. I’ve received excellent training courses and its built my confidence to make a difference in the community. My Clients put their trust in me to make their lives easier, to support their care needs. Life as a Carer is so rewarding and Oxford House have excellent standards, which is why I’ve had 25 years working for Oxford House.
We are a family run company. We aim to improve the quality of life for our Clients, their life is in our hands. We are not just Carers, we are in many ways their lifeline, friends and family to some. Caring has rewards every day, that is why I enjoy my role as a Carer and Care Manager for Windsor. The team that work with me are most important to our success. Without this support, Windsor wouldn’t be as successful as it is. Without the help and support from our Service Users, I wouldn’t have been able to perform such a rewarding, dedicated role for the last 25 years.”
