A caring home from the very beginning
Oxford House is a family-run nursing home in Berkshire that first opened its doors to residents in 1980.
Our characterful 1890’s building was originally a vicarage and is now a comfortable home for 30 residents, supported by a team of some 55 care staff comprising registered nurses, carers, and support staff.
The family who established Oxford House in 1980 continue to own and operate the home, helping to maintain the family feel that we believe sets us apart from other care homes.
They work alongside the Registered Manager and Deputy Manager to deliver the exceptional level of patient-focused care that has been recognised by the Care Quality Commission, the Gold Standards Framework and Healthwatch.

“Anything we need, you just ask and they come straightaway. Wonderful people – it’s a massive big family.”
