Chick Hatching Programme

Residents & staff have been busy with the Nursing Homes latest addition, our very own hatching chicks!

With a focus on finding activities to keep residents entertained during lockdown, we found the perfect match with our chick incubator. This is a 2-week programme that allows residents to follow an interactive storyboard. With details on how to care & hatch the eggs into young chickens!

This has been a massive success within the Nursing Home, with residents embracing the chance to watch the chickens grow, offering social interaction as they work together to provide care for the chicks.

This has also boosted activity engagement, with residents being allowed to physically interact and hold the chicks. Helping to keep spirits high as it stimulates childhood memories from when they played with animals in their gardens!
